Festive Feels And Memories Forever- AD

Ever since I can remember Raymond Brigg’s The Snowman has been part of my Christmas for the last 29 years. We got to go to Chesterfield’s Winding Wheel and see The Snowman Tour 2019. Making this years viewing of this absolute classic even more special. Not only with the live orchestra accompanying this treasured classic. Also the fact that this was my little boys first ever viewing and what a way to watch.

One of my worries was that Edward would struggle to see the screen with him only been 2 years old. However there was absolutely no need as its a great height and is brilliant for all to see.

He was absolutely captivated from the beginning of the production with the showing of The Nutcracker and other famous pieces of music right through to the main event. We were even treated to a appearance from the snowman himself which all the children in the audience loved. It was a lovely addition to a well thought out and wonderful family evening out.

I loved how the orchestra got introduced at the beginning of the show by Santa each section one by one. Giving them the recognition they deserve while they had everyone’s attention.

There are still some dates of The Snowman Tour this December around the country head to https://www.carrotproductions.com/snowman to grab yours. I can’t recommend it enough!!

What A Cracking Show Gromit!!

Wallace and Gromit combined with Queen, Mozart and Stevie Wonder. There was truly no where else I would have rather been than sat in the M And S Bank Arena Liverpool. Wallace and Gromit are on tour with their show Musical Marvels touring around the United Kingdom.

Hosted by the wonderful Matthew Sharp who put his absolute all to bring such energy and fun to a already amazing piece of theatre. He was great at getting all the littlest members of the audience entertained and involved. His energy didn’t dim at all.

The Picture House Orchestra conducted by Steven Magee were just exquisite and a true joy to listen too. Bringing the Plasticine duo’s adventures to life. The whole Orchestra from the Brass, Wind, String and every section in between worked so hard. Their costumes were wonderful too all on the Wallace and Gromit theme. From blocks of cheese, Shaun the Sheep and lots more everyone was included. It brought extra cheer and entertainment to the production.

I absolutely loved how Wallace and Gromit were incorporated into the show. Shown on the screen for the first half of the show. Wallace was writing his own piece for the orchestra called My Concerto in Ee Lad. Of course as is the case for our formidable duo nothing ever goes simple for them. At one point the fuse blows backstage were Wallace & Gromit are practicing for there big moment this incorporates and is shown really well above stage too with flashing lights.

Our daughter is 10 years old and is a massive fan of Wallace&Gromit she was thoroughly entertained and mesmerized the whole time. I wondered if she would be a little too old and dubious as shes old enough to be aware that the duo themselves aren’t real. However my worries weren’t needed and it was a truly magical experience for her and suits everyone of all ages. The length of the production was just right at around 90 minutes with an interval for little ones to have a wriggle around, visit the toilet and grab more snacks.

Wallace and Gromit’s Musical Marvels is still touring with tickets available head to http://www.carrotproductions.com/wallace-and-gromit/  You wont be dissapointed!!

** we were gifted our tickets to the show all opinions are 100% my own and totally honest**
